The product of research into another project which required a custom designed ‘hammer’ to ring a bell, HUUM explored the entomology, morphology, history, iconography, and use of the hammer.

The end creation was a waterjet cut stainless steel hammer of intended generic uses and general form; a hammer of multiple uses. One specific use was gifted as a cocktail hammer designed to break ice. The cut outs inside the hammer form also turned into both an ice pick and whiskey cooling stone. Other owners have used the device as a back scratcher, emergency window breaker in a car, bottle opener, paper weight and even the odd nail being put back into place.
