Lego Fjord Table

HUUM was asked to design a coffee table for an executive who lamented at the meeting they didn’t get to travel as much as they would like, such were the demands of their job. The only solution to this was to solve it with our brief, creating a coffee table that permit travel all the while being in the office. Our thoughts turned to Scandinavia and Norways epic Fjords. Then another Scandinavian country, Denmark, and its most famous export, Legos, presented themselves as the building blocks. The majority of the table is white, snow like. The gash in the table is the Fjord itself, blackened stone and blue water. A glass top provides views of the whole geologic moment.
